Born with a congenital leg difference, 4-year-old Omid spent most of his early years watching the world from the sidelines. In his small village in Afghanistan, opportunities for children like him were few. His parents often carried him wherever he needed to go, but they knew he deserved the chance to explore the world on his own two feet.
When Omid took his first independent steps, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. For the first time, he could run to his parents, play with toys on his own, and chase after other children. “This is a miracle for us,” his father shared, overcome with emotion. Omid’s laughter now echoes through his home, and his parents are filled with hope for a brighter future.
